EXISTING SOLAR SOLUTIONS

Battery Storage Designed Around Your Energy Use

Improve an existing solar system with a GoodWe ESA all-in-one battery and inverter solution, sized around your household or business energy requirements.

PRACTICAL BATTERY SIZING

The right battery is not simply the biggest battery

PPS reviews your electricity bill, energy usage, tariff structure, existing solar system and property requirements before recommending a battery configuration. Our aim is to identify a practical system size that makes sense for the way your property uses energy.

01

Current energy usage

We consider how much electricity the household or business currently uses.

02

Existing solar production

The size and performance of the existing solar system form part of the assessment.

03

Day and evening consumption

We review when energy is being used, not only the total amount shown on the bill.

04

Tariff and electricity costs

Your electricity tariff and current energy costs help provide context for the recommendation.

GOODWE ESA ALL-IN-ONE SYSTEM

One integrated battery and inverter system

The GoodWe ESA brings the battery and inverter together in one streamlined system. Its clean, vertical design creates a sleek, minimalist aesthetic, while the modular format allows PPS to configure the system to suit your individual energy needs.

All-in-one design

The GoodWe ESA combines a modern battery and inverter in one configured system, creating a clean, premium and minimalist aesthetic.

Modular battery capacity

With a choice of battery modules, PPS tailors a practical system around your actual electricity use and property requirements.

Single-phase and three-phase options

GoodWe ESA solutions are available for standard single-phase homes, larger three-phase properties and selected small-business applications. The correct configuration depends on the property’s electrical supply and energy requirements.

Indoor and outdoor suitability

The ESA carries an IP66 protection rating and may be suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. The final position still depends on the property, applicable installation requirements and the site assessment.

Quiet operation

Its low-noise design helps the system sit more comfortably within residential environments.

Backup during a grid failure

Selected household circuits, or broader home backup, can be configured depending on your property and the level of backup you need.

MODULAR SYSTEM DESIGN

A modular system designed around your energy requirements

The GoodWe ESA Series combines the inverter and battery modules within one streamlined, all-in-one system. Each component maintains the same width and depth, while the finished system becomes taller as battery modules are added to suit the property’s energy requirements.

Power and inverter module Top system component
800 mm W × 300 mm H × 270 mm D
Individual battery module Modular storage component
800 mm W × 326 mm H × 270 mm D

Dimensions are based on the current GoodWe ESA Series technical datasheet and may be updated by the manufacturer.

Equipment dimensions and installation space are not the same

These measurements show the size of the GoodWe ESA system itself. The final installation area must also meet safety clearances and suit the conditions of the property. PPS checks nearby windows and ventilation openings, access and escape routes, hazardous areas and surrounding equipment before confirming the location. Where practical, we also consider a compliant position near the switchboard to support a neat and direct installation. Safety requirements and site conditions always come first.

Installation locations and clearances are assessed in accordance with AS/NZS 5139 and applicable amendments, manufacturer instructions and relevant electrical requirements.

PROPERTY COMPATIBILITY

Battery solutions for different grid phases

Whether your property has single-phase or three-phase power affects the inverter and battery configuration available. PPS reviews the property’s electrical supply and energy requirements before configuring a suitable system.

Single-phase homes

  • PPS GoodWe ESA inverter options from 5 kW to 10 kW
  • Modular battery storage
  • Up to approximately 48 kWh per tower
  • Multiple towers can be configured in parallel where suitable
  • Suitable for many standard residential properties
  • Backup arrangements available where appropriate

Three-phase homes and small businesses

  • GoodWe ESA inverter options from 5 kW to 30 kW
  • Larger-capacity battery configurations available
  • Maximum system storage capacity of up to 108 kWh
  • Suitable for larger homes and selected small-business properties
  • Configuration depends on the property’s electrical supply and energy requirements
  • Backup arrangements available where appropriate

A bigger battery system is not always the better system for your home

The most suitable battery size depends on how your property uses electricity, your existing solar system, available installation space and what you want the system to achieve. PPS compares suitable configurations before recommending a practical option for your energy requirements.
